Confab25 | April 7-10 | San Francisco, CA

ESnet operates the high-performance data network for scientific research funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE’s) Office of Science. Confab is ESnet's largest user meeting, bringing together domain scientists, network engineers, DOE program managers, user facility staff, and ESnet staff to co-design the future of integrated science.

Confab25 will be the third Confab event, building on the highly successful Confab23. Confab25 will include updates from ESnet, our scientific research collaborators, the DOE’s Integrated Research Infrastructure (IRI) program, and more.

The program includes a packed program of talks, fireside chats, panels, and community discussions. Highlights include:

  • Dr. Carol Burns (Berkeley Lab) and Dr. John Sarrao (SLAC) in conversation about the science research labs of the future.
  • Dr. Katie Antypas (NSF) on the NAIRR Pilot: Accelerating AI Innovation and Workforce Development.
  • Inder Monga (ESnet) and Dr. Ben Brown (DOE ASCR) in conversation about the future of advanced data networking within an integrated research infrastructure.
  • An overview of ESnet's networking services that accelerate DOE science.
  • Case studies of ESnet co-design and collaboration with our partners.
